God is God!

Spiritual Vitamin: "He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The LORD shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure....." Psalm 2:4-6

Reflect: God is not afraid or confused or depressed about the opposition occurring in our world today. He sits in the heavens and is God. He has sufficient force to counter this challenge. He can do anything! Please pray for Ukraine, that God will do what only He can do to protect the Ukrainian people. 

Take Heart!

Spiritual Vitamin: "In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Reflect: As we watch the event in Ukraine unfold, our world actually feels scarier. Each of us has feelings, emotions, and our own concerns. Pray for the Ukrainians today and ask that You would stir in each of their hearts that You are still in charge and have overcome the world. Pray that You would know that as well.

God's Beautiful Character

Spiritual Vitamin: "The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all He has made." Psalm 145:8-9

Reflect: Have You considered lately who God is and what He has done? Take a moment and enjoy these beautiful character traits of our Lord. 

A Word Aptly Spoken

Spiritual Vitamin: "A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver." Proverbs 25:11

Reflect: There is something powerful about a word spoken with kindness and love. Pray that God would help you speak the right words at the right time with His power and strength. 

Some Trust in Chariots

Spiritual Vitamin: "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God." Psalm 20:7

Reflect: Where do you place your trust? Really? Is it in people, wealth, work, abilities, or something else? Pray that God would help you place your full trust in Him.

Trusting God in the Waiting

Spiritual Vitamin: I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God." Psalm 40:1-3

Reflect: Waiting is hard! The Psalmist here waited patiently for the Lord. How did God answer Him in his waiting? Will you trust God for the things you're waiting for?

Each Day is A Gfit

Spiritual Vitamin: "Show me, O LORD, my life's end and the number of my days; You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man's life is but a breath." 

Reflect: Each day is a gift, whether we "feel" like it or not! This verse is a beautiful prayer reminding us to make each day count and not neglect what is truly important. May that be your reality today!

Delight in the LORD

Spiritual Vitamin: "Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this...." Psalm 37:4-5

Reflect: What are the benefits of delighting in the LORD and committing everything to Him? Take a moment to do just that...Commit everything to God- your time, your work, your family, your possessions, everything! 

God Knows Your Heart

Spiritual Vitamin: "Lord, you know everyone's heart." Acts 1:24. "Search me, O God, and know my heart." Psalm 139:23

Reflect: Can you trust your own heart? God is the ultimate heart-knower! No matter how near or far you are from God, He knows you completely and loves You. 

Give Thanks!

Spiritual Vitamin: "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Reflect: Today is a new day! Look around and make a list in your head (or on paper) of all the things you can be grateful for. God's goodness is everywhere. Give thanks! 

God Hears

 Spiritual Vitamin: "To You I call, O LORD my Rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who have gone down to the pit. Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hand toward your Most Holy Place." Psalm 28:1-2

Reflect? We all know what it feels like to not be heard. Listening makes us feel loved. God loves you so much and he listens to everything You say to Him. He will not turn a deaf ear to you. What do you need to tell Him today?

Hope

Spiritual Vitamin: "But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope; The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:21-23

Reflect: What gives Jeremiah hope? Grasp the enormity of God's steadfast love and never-failing compassion. May You enjoy this same hope today!

Finding Rest in God

Spiritual Vitamin: "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken." Psalm 62:1-2

Reflect: So often, we want to find relief in our crummy circumstances by just wanting everything to be the way we want it to be. True relief does not come when circumstances are perfect. Relief comes when we find rest in God alone. Will you find rest in Him alone, today?

Do Not Judge

Spiritual Vitamin: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-2

Reflect: Reflect about last week. Consider how judging others may have been part of your life, whether verbally or even in your mind. Ask God to soften your heart and look for ways to love when you want to judge.  

Carry Other's Burdens

Spiritual Vitamin: "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galations 6:2

Reflect: Ask God to show you how you can encourage those that need encouragement.  

What does the Lord take delight in?

Spiritual Vitamin: "His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of a man, but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love." Psalm 147:10-11

Reflect: What does God take delight in? What doesn't He take delight in? What does He take pleasure in? 

Your Weakness

Spiritual Vitamin: "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.'" 1 Corinthians 12:9

Reflect: Consider that in your weakness, God's power is made perfect in you! What's on your plate that feels overwhelming? Will you trust that God can meet you in your weakness? 

Your Gentleness

Spiritual Vitamin: "Let your gentleness be evident to all." Philippians 4:5

Reflect: Jesus is gentle. What can I learn about gentleness from Jesus? Allow Jesus to live in your heart and teach you to be a gentle person.  

No fear!

Spiritual Vitamin: "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." 2 Timothy 1:7

Reflect: There are a lot of reasons for fear in our world today. News about COVID, political divisions, and social upheaval concern us all. Instead of fear, the Spirit of God gives us power. Will you trust the Spirit of God to help you walk in power, love and self-control?

Wait!

Spiritual Vitamin: "Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." Psalm 27:14

Reflect: What are you waiting on? When do you find it difficult to wait? Take a moment and pray about all those things you're waiting on. Ask God to help you be strong and take heart and wait for Him. 

Do Not Fear

Spiritual Vitamin: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Reflect: In the midst of another COVID surge, take a moment and pray for our community and for all those who are sick. May we all find such hope and encouragement in this verse! 

The Love of the Lord

Spiritual Vitamin: "I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall, I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: the steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:19-23

Reflect: Today is a new day and a new week. Will you call to mind the love of the LORD? Will you call to mind his mercies that never come to an end? Rejoice! His hope, love, and mercies are new every morning!

Unfailing Love

Spiritual Vitamin: "How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings." Psalm 36:7

Reflect: Take in the unfailing love that God has for you! He loves you perfectly. And He welcomes you in the shadow of his wings to take refuge. Ask God to draw you closer to Him. Enjoy his love!

What are you anxious about?

Spiritual Vitamin: "Do not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present our requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

Reflect: What are you anxious about today? Would you take a moment and pray to God. Give Him your anxieties. Thank Him. May His peace transcend all your understanding today!

God's Handiwork

Spiritual Vitamin: "We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

Reflect: As you begin 2022, remember that you are God's masterpiece, his handiwork and have been created in Christ to do good works. What do you sense God has for you to do in 2022? How would you like to trust Him to serve well?

Get Wisdom!

Spiritual Vitamin: "Lay hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands and you will live. Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them." Proverbs 4:5-6

Reflect: As you begin 2022, pray for wisdom! Ask God for understanding and help with all your decisions. He will guide and help you! 

Guidance from God's Word

Spiritual Vitamin: "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105

Reflect: Why not start reading the Bible as you start the new year? God's word is like a lamp, lightening the way, guiding your path.
