Reading of Scripture

Spiritual Challenge: "Turn my heart toward your statutes...Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long... How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Your statues are m heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart." (Psalm 119:36, 97, 103, 111)

Challenge: Read the above verses slowly and out loud. If there is a word or phrase that catches your attention. Stop and attend to what God might be saying to you. Listen and hear the word of the Lord.

Prayer: Dear God, Thank you for your word. Help me prayerfully come before your word, listening to what You have for me. I believe your word is living and active and able to judge the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12-13) Please use your word in my life. I want to become more like You. Amen.
